SUMMARY:Campus Marzahn | Workshop – Introduction into 3D print with FDM & SLA technology
DESCRIPTION:\n\nWorkshop – Introduction into 3D print with FDM & SLA technology at the second campus in Marzahn\nIn this two-hours workshop you will learn how to use a FDM & SLA 3D printer.\n\nFDM technology allows you to produce fast and reliable 3D printed models with different types of filament plastics.\nSLA technology allows you to produce high-definition and high-quality 3D printed models with different types of photo-reactive resin material.\n\nBy the end of the session, you will have gone through the whole production process of a 3d-printed piece: from preparing your data, to printing and post producing an object, and you will be able to work independently with 3D printers.\nAlthough you don’t need to have any previous experience with 3D printing for this workshop, it is important for you to have some basic knowledge about 3D modeling.\n\n\n\n\nLearning outcome\nDuring the 3d print workshop you will learn how to:\n\nDesign geometries suitable for prototyping with FDM & SLA Printing\nUnderstand the difference between SLA & FDM Printers\nPrepare your 3D file using Eiger.io slicing software & Formlabs Preform slicing software\nUse the Markforged Mark2 & Formlabs Form 3L 3D printers\n\nBy the end of the session, you will have the opportunity to present a project of your own to the instructor, and review the plan you have for 3D printing it.\nCompleting this workshop, with the corresponding membership, will also grant you access to the Markforged Mark2 and the Formlabs 3L 3D printer at MotionLab.Marzahn.\n\n\n\n\nPrerequisites\nFor this course you will need:\n\nA laptop with:\nEiger.io opened on your browser\nFormlabs Preform software pre installed (You can download the free software HERE)\nA mouse with a scroll wheel\n\nOther materials for the workshop will be provided to you and are included in the price.\nThis 3d print workshop is held in English, and in German at specific request.\n\n\n\n\nCheck out our introduction video about the Markforged Mark2 on YouTube to get some prior knowledge.\n\n\n\n\nYour Instructor\nHi! I’m Paul Marx, and I am MakerSpace Manager here at MotionLab.Berlin. My engineering background and general interest in 3D print and laser cutting allow me to work with a lot of different materials and production processes in order to help with creating innovative prototypes. I have been instructing community at MotionLab.Berlin for the past 2 years.\n \n\n\n\n\n
