How did SCROOSER & Kumpan find each other and what was the final moment, when you decided you’re going to join forces?

SCROOSER and Kumpan believe in sharing synergy effects. As a mobility producer similar technology can be developed for every vehicle. We joined forces to combine our strengths and experiences in order to evolve and get one level further.

Why did you decide to start working on a hardware idea?

We wanted to create an innovative portfolio of vehicles that are intuitive to use, fun to experience and beneficial for the environment. With integrated, minimalistic and comfortable design, it attracts new target groups and inspires users, that usually wouldn´t consider riding a moped, due to comfort and safety reasons. The team behind this focuses strongly on user- centered design and strategic innovation. Together this creates a unique electric mobility experience.

Why did you choose the city of Berlin to found a company? Do you think the city has an impact of how successful your project will be?

Berlin is an innovation hot spot in every sense. The diversity of industries, technologies and services makes Berlin a unique and inspiring playground.

If you could have one additional skill in your team, who would get it, what would it be and why?

We could need a testrider that’s as fearless as a rocketman 😉

What do you want to achieve with your startup apart from getting money and fame? 😉

We want to offer an integrated electric-mobility solution as a wholesome package with in- house design, engineering and production. Well concepted, individual and high-quality transportation, made in Europe. Determined to last for a maximum lifecycle with an incredible reliability, efficiency, safety and riding experience – driving the mobility of the future.

Which is the part of running a startup, that scares you the most and which is most fun?

Sticking to ones beliefs might be scary sometimes, with all the efforts that lies ahead and all
the uncertainty the market involves. Realizing that people enjoying themselves experiencing the product and imagine using it in their lives.

Would you rather have one real get out of jail free card or a key that opens any door?

Show a picture of an SCROOSER and offer a testride 😉

When was the last time you really celebrated a success and what was it about?

We lately tested our new generation prototype after a long period of market study, designing and engineering – more than successfully.

If you could change your life with every person in the world right now - would you do it? And if yes, with whom?

We´re happy as we are!

Why are you at MotionLab.Berlin?

Meeting interesting people, attending stimulating events and being part of the fun environment here is really exciting.

Would you rather have the skills to see 10 minutes into your future or to reset what happened in the last 10 minutes?

No, that´s life!

What is your favorite song, that motivates you and brings you through a tough working day?

Under pressure

Just can’t get enough

What is the current status quo of your company?

We have several products in the market like SCROOSER 1, Kumpan 54i, Kraftpaket (battery) and are expanding. Testing and preparation of advanced prototyping of SCROOSER 2.0 are currently in progress.

Are you currently looking for something specific? Investors, specific knowledge or positions?

Money is always welcome ;-))

If the 14 year old you would read this interview, what is the one thing you want him to know?

Damn – Why am I not allowed to ride the SCROOSER yet???

Who is probably the proudest person in your circle of what you have achieved in the last years?

We´re all proud that SCROOSER is still there and we can’t wait for the next generation of it!

When was the last time you got really sick of what you are doing and why?

When we were struggling about the street approval regulations for Scooters in Europe

If someone invested 1 million euro in your startup tomorrow, what would you use the money for?

Innovation and development

Anything else?

Thanks to the whole team of MotionLab, especially Fridtjof, for the support in the last years!
