1. Application
Apply from 01/06/2022 until 12/08/2022 23:59 pm to join the program.
Apply over the f6s portal. The application should not take more than 20 min to complete. Please remember to upload your current pitch deck and short video introducing your team.
2. Selection
Our selection phase is divided into three rounds. The decision will be on 05/09/2022
Round 1: General selection of top 25 startup teams.
Round 2: Interview with the MotionLab.Berlin experts
Round 3: Hybrid pitching event in front of distinguished jury
3. Program Start & Project Phase
Batch #1 starts on 04.10.2022 and ends on 31.05.2023
The program is divided into 3 phases:
- 2 months incubation phase
- 6 months accelerator phase
- 12 months Follow Up Support
2-month ideation and exploration followed by a 6-month acceleration and growth phase. Participating startups will need to pass pre-defined milestones in order to receive the cash investment after the 2-month ideation and exploration phase. The milestones are defined at the beginning of the program with your coaches and advisors. The Go or No-Go decision (see graphic below) is dependent on the successful achievement of the milestones defined together with coaches and advisors at the beginning of the program. The cash investment will only be made if the startup passes the go or no-go decision.
4. Demo Day + 12 months Follow Up Support
All your hard work not only needs to be celebrated, but also shown to potential investors, customers, potential corporate partners and more. That’s why we’re already looking forward to Demo Day on 05/25/2023 – the big pitch and networking event! But even the best products need time to become successful and your success is the most important thing for us. Therefore, we will accompany you for another 12 months in our locations Berlin Marzahn and Alt-Treptow.

3. Demo Day
All your hard work needs to not only be celebrated but also shown to prospective investors, customers, potential corporate partners and more. We are therefore already looking forward to the Demo Day on 27/04/2023 – the big pitch and networking event!
Application Conditions
- Your startup should be in the early prototyping phase with an existing low fidelity prototype and proven customer validation.
- You are two or three Co-Founders.
- You live in Berlin or can move here until the start of the program 01/09/2022
- All team members can commit full-time to the program and the development of your startup in Berlin.
- You have successfully completed the application by the 12/08/2022 at 23.59pm

MotionLab.Berlin is a HardTech Innovation Hub in Berlin / Treptow.
We combine Berlin’s largest machinery for prototyping with coworking and community. With access to our 3D printers, CNC milling machines and lasers, we give your hardware idea the optimal environment for successful realization.

You can apply for the MakeUp Industrial Tech accelerator if all of the following requirements are met:
- Your idea is hardtech focused and provides solutions for a sustainable manufacturing
- You currently reside in Berlin or plan to move to Berlin
- You are a team of 2 or 3 people who can commit full time to the program
- You can work full time on the development of your startup

Your startup should be in the early prototyping phase. You should already have a low fidelity prototype and proven customer validation.
Especially in the first years it is important to focus on a very specific customer group and market and grow from there. We have specialized in markets in the industry with a volume of about 500m €.
No. The program will predominantly require physical attendance at MotionLab.Berlin. At MotionLab.Berlin you will have access to an exclusive accelerator program office as well as high end prototyping labs to work from.
Some sessions may be held online. It is highly dependent on the COVID 19 regulations.
Our main partners LAT and B.I.G. play a central role in this program. Their support pertains to:
- Supporting the review of startup applications and selecting the 6 industrial tech startups
- Providing advice, mentorship and networking opportunities
- Potential to provide pilot opportunities
- Potential to provide investment during or after the program
We only invest in long-term cooperation. In return, we provide 100,000€ per startup and receive up to 8% company shares.
All workshops will be held in English. It is therefore required that you and your team are able to communicate in English. Speaking German is a benefit.

After the successful completion of the program, participants receive a 12-month Alumni MotionLab.Berlin membership for free. This allows them to make use of the MotionLab.Berlin hardtech network and services, and thereby enables them to continue their startup development.
