Deep Tech Hub
We Are Part Of The de:hub Initiative
MotionLab.Berlin is the operating partner of Berlin's official Deep Tech Hub – a collaboration with the Berlin Senate and Berlin Partner launched in June 2024. Three months later, the hub was certified as part of Germany's national de:hub initiative by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action. Two levels of recognition. One place where it happens.
Berlin built it. Germany certified it.
The National Network
As part of Germany's Digital Hub Initiative, MotionLab.Berlin sits within a network of 25 hubs across every federal state – each focused on a different technology sector. Together they connect startups, established companies, research institutions, and policymakers at a national scale.

Two Levels. One Hub
MotionLab.Berlin operates at both the city and national level – and each reinforces the other.
How it works
Deep Tech Hub Berlin
Founded together with the Senatsverwaltung für Wirtschaft, Energie und Betriebe and Berlin Partner für Wirtschaft und Technologie. MotionLab.Berlin is the operating and founding partner. The hub's mission is to support deep tech startups at market entry, connect them with investors and corporates, and strengthen Berlin's position as a leading deep tech location in Europe.

de:hub Deep Tech Germany
Three months after launch, the Deep Tech Hub Berlin was certified as part of the de:hub initiative by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) and the Federal Ministry for Digital and State Modernisation (BMDS). One of 25 hubs across Germany. The federal certification connects MotionLab.Berlin's ecosystem to a national network of startups, corporates, research institutions, and investors.
