Your Questions
How do I become a member at MotionLab.Berlin?
It’s very simple: Check out our membership options and our different locations, sign up online for a personal tour with one of our colleagues and register as a member in our workspace either on-site or at home after the tour.
Are there student discounts available?
Yes, we offer a student discount on our Professional membership. Simply speak to our colleagues when you register in person, or check the appropriate box when registering online. Don’t forget your student ID and proof of enrollment! After registering, you are required to provide proof of student enrollment each semester to continue receiving the discount.
How long is the cancellation period and how can I cancel?
You can easily cancel your membership online via our member platform. You must do this 25 days before the 1st of the following month, as this is when the respective billing cycle begins.
For startup memberships, we have a cancellation period of 3 months. Of course, you can also pause your membership at any time. This, too, must be done online with 25 days’ notice before the 1st of the following month.
By pausing your membership, you avoid another registration fee when you want to reactivate. Furthermore, this method allows you to continue accessing our hardtech community, innovation network, and Slack channels remotely.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept direct debit and payment by invoice.
How is the invoice sent?
You will automatically receive the invoice via email.
Can I do a trial day or take a flexible break?
Of course, you can also get to know our work and coworking space in Berlin by taking advantage of trial days. For this purpose, we offer day passes for €10 per day. You can also easily pause your membership on a monthly basis.
Do you offer day passes and what do they include?
Yes, we offer day passes. A day pass includes:
- Access to the Alt-Treptow Campus from Monday-Friday 9:00 am – 6:00 pm.
- Full use of coworking spaces, kitchen, and phone booths for calls and meetings (meeting rooms are not included).
- Opportunities to attend member-only events (if available that day).
How do I check in with my day pass?
You can check in yourself or our staff can check you in. After checking in, our reception staff will provide you with a guest day pass card, which you must wear throughout your stay, and return at the end of the day.
