DEEP TECH GLOBAL
You built real tech in Berlin.
Now it’s time to go global.
Deep Tech Doesn’t Scale Through Zoom Calls
Expanding into international markets unlocks growth, new funding, and strategic partnerships. But success requires more than ambition—it demands new expertise, local insight, and a strong network.
At MotionLab.Berlin—a leading innovation hub for deep tech and hardtech—we’ve spent years building that expertise and forging global connections that accelerate startups. Now we’re ready to share that experience with you.
Accelerate Your Global Deep Tech Journey
We connect hardware makers, climate tech experts, and deep tech pioneers with the right people on other continents who are building the future firsthand. We understand that developing these technologies is challenging—and expanding internationally adds a new level of complexity that can test even the strongest startups.
That’s why we support you every step of the way, preparing you so your international expansion isn’t a risky gamble but a strategic move into new markets.
Global Launchpad: Next Stop—Japan
After kicking off Deep Tech Global at New York Tech Week, we’re heading to Japan this September—next up: Osaka and Tokyo.
This curated delegation trip opens a direct gateway for deep tech startups into the Japanese market. You’ll connect with leading innovators in robotics, advanced manufacturing, and industrial AI—and meet the people who make Japan a global force in technology.
Why Japan Is Your Next Strategic Move
Japan leads globally in robotics, AI, and industrial innovation—making it a strategic market for deep tech startups ready to scale.
This trip aligns with Berlin Week at the Osaka World Expo 2025, where Berlin’s innovation scene will take the spotlight during the international Berlin Days. It’s a rare chance to showcase your technology, meet key players, and position your startup on the global stage.

Why New York Makes Sense for Hardware
NYC has become one of the most active hubs for deep tech, climate innovation, and hardtech venture capital, wanting to address urban challenges, from mobility to infrastructure to sustainability. The city offers fertile ground for pilot projects, municipal partnerships, and initial U.S. market entry. The official Tech Week program drops in late April, and we’ll ensure you’re connected to the right people and events.
Why Tech Week Actually Matters
In 2024, New York hosted over 700 events during Tech Week, making it the largest of its kind globally. The week’s decentralized format means we can cut through the noise and target exactly what matters for your specific hardware, whether you’re focused on urban mobility, climate tech, or frontier hardware.
Past Tech Weeks have featured heavyweights like Marc Andreessen and Ben Horowitz, but we’re more interested in getting you face-to-face with the people who can deploy your technology at scale.
This is About Making, Not Talking.
New York is a city actively hunting for solutions to urgent urban challenges. If you’ve built something in micromobility, sustainable infrastructure, circular economy, or urban systems, NYC offers a fertile testing ground for real pilot programs and long-term partnerships.
We’ll connect you directly to the stakeholders—from city agencies with actual budgets to innovation labs with testing capabilities to urban tech networks that can amplify your impact. Our goal can help you secure concrete partnerships that drive your growth.
