🔧 What You’ll Learn at Unreal Engine 5 Workshop

Over three hands-on sessions, participants will:

• Build a 3D environment from scratch

• Work with lighting, materials, and camera setups

• Create a final short animated sequence or cinematic

💳 Cost & Registration

• Standard Ticket: €200 (+ Eventbrite fees) for all 3 sessions

• MotionLab Members: €160 (+ Eventbrite fees)

💻 Requirements for the Unreal Engine 5 Workshop

• Basic familiarity with any 3D software or game engine (Blender, Unity, etc.)

• Your own laptop with Unreal Engine 5 installed

Recommended Minimum Specs:

• OS: Windows 10/11 (64-bit)

• CPU: Quad-core ≥2.5 GHz

• RAM: 16 GB

• GPU: NVIDIA GTX 1060 / AMD RX 580 or better (≥4 GB VRAM)

• Storage: SSD with ≥100 GB free space

Lower Specs (may lag):

• CPU: Intel i5 (6th Gen) or equivalent

• RAM: 8 GB

• GPU: NVIDIA GTX 960 / AMD R9 380 (≥2 GB VRAM)

• SSD strongly recommended

🎤 About the Unreal Engine 5 Workshop Instructor

Joaquina Salgado is a media artist working at the intersection of technology, embodiment, and digital perception. Her immersive works—ranging from game engines to motion capture—have been exhibited internationally at MUTEK (Buenos Aires & Montreal), APAP Triennial (Korea), and Berlin Art Week. She premiered Reserva Digital in Chile and co-created DERIVA with ZHdK and Pro Helvetia. Joaquina has a background in Multimedia Arts and regularly collaborates with artists and tech innovators across Latin America and Europe.
