Workshop – Introduction to Wax Carving & DIY Jewelry Making
This 4-hour DIY jewelry workshop is an introduction to the ancient art of wax carving. Participants will learn how to design, transfer their design to the wax, carve, file, and give the desired finish to a wax ring.
Later on, this ring will be cast in sterling silver to create the final jewelry piece. No jewelry-making experience is required.
Learning outcome
During the DIY jewelry workshop you will learn how to:
- Design a ring
- Use hand tools to form & carve castable wax
- Transform your idea into a wax model of a finger ring
After the class, each participant will have a finished wax model and the knowledge to continue their practice. The silver rings will be ready for pick-up ~4 weeks after the class.

Prerequisites
For this course you will need NO previous experience in wax carving or jewelry making.
The materials for the workshop will be provided to you and are included in the price.
