New year – new teams. We started the year 2023 with 5 new teams in batch 2 of our startup accelerator program Hardtech Innovation. The second team we want to introduce you to: Konstanze Riede and Corinna Morell with their fair fashion startup InPeaces.
Konstanze and Corinna created InPeaces to enable everyone to create their own personalized fair fashion. They are currently developing a sewing-by-numbers system for quick and easy sewing.
“We want to create awareness of the value of clothes, create a decentralised alternative to factory sewing and inspire repairing, changing, and individualising our wardrobes!” Corinna is the fashion queen in the team, who knows how to create all the textile products. Konstanze wears the business hat and is responsible for marketing and brand building.
THE “IHOODIE” AND OTHER GOALS

“In the MotionLab.Berlin accelerator program we want to make our “IHoodie” (working title) market ready.
What is their goal in the program?
“In the MotionLab.Berlin accelerator program we want to make our “IHoodie” (working title) market ready. The IHoodie will be a Hoodie that you can easily assemble at home and add a personal fabric inside of the hoodie. It could be your graduation t-shirt that’s still in your wardrobe even though you don’t wear it anymore. Or your sweetheart’s old soccer jersey. Or even the long sleeve shirt you wore when your partner proposed: It doesn’t fit anymore but you still can’t throw it out. This project is special to us because it combines the ideas of co-creation, mass customisation, re-use, personalised and fair fashion.”
Currently they prototype and test various designs for the numbers and symbols that are cut into the seam allowances and shall later enable intuitive sewing without instructions on their fair fashion clothes. We also heard rumours that they are planning to organise some sewing workshops in the lab! A warm welcome from us.
